  • April 27, 2007 – “ For Two US Cities, The Debate Over Spectrum Is Over" by Corey Boles
An article written by Corey Boles from Dow Jones News Wires, quotes Joe Ross – Partner and co-founder of Televate – about the efforts by the District of Columbia to build National Capital Region Regional Wireless Broadband Network (RWBN) - a dedicated public safety high speed data communications network.  The RWBN, due to be launched by the end of the summer of 2007, is moving forward even as the FCC and Congress have yet to finalize the rules regarding public safety’s use of 24 MHz of 700 MHz spectrum that is scheduled to be available to public safety agencies in February of 2009.   Televate has been instrumental in the design and implementation of the RWBN on behalf of the National Capital Region, including conceptualizing the FCC licensing strategy in the 700 MHz band.
